It is still very early in Dee Winters' 2026 campaign, as his evaluation rests entirely on a single 46-snap outing in Week 3. He registered a near-solid 68.0 overall grade, which was driven by starkly contrasting performances between run defense and pass coverage. Winters was a reliable asset when attacking downhill, shooting interior gaps effectively and bottling up designed runs near the line of scrimmage. However, his aggressive reads left him vulnerable to misdirection, causing him to bite hard on multiple play-action bootlegs that conceded explosive plays and a touchdown. He also struggled in pure zone drops, frequently displaying slow instincts when trying to squeeze underneath passing windows.
