It is still very early in the season for Jaylen Watson, who has appeared in just one game totaling 20 graded snaps. In that Week 3 outing against Denver, he turned in a solid 78.3 grade behind high-impact contributions in both phases. He demonstrated strong run defense early by shedding a block for a two-yard tackle for loss and added two tight-coverage pass breakups against Jaylen Waddle in the first quarter. His grade cooled slightly in the second quarter when he surrendered yards after the catch on a checkdown and conceded a first-down reception while suffering a non-contact injury. Because he has played only a single contest, his trajectory remains too early to fully evaluate.
