Season so far
Jovaughn Gwyn has appeared in just one game this season, making it too early to draw overarching conclusions about his trajectory. In his lone 48-snap start against Dallas in Week 3, his 57.4 grade fell into detrimental territory due to mental miscues and inconsistent displacement. His performance was particularly hindered in pass blocking by two separate ineligible man downfield penalties in the second quarter. While he flashed some positive moments in the run game by anchoring well on a goal-line touchdown, he generally struggled to generate vertical movement against defensive tackles in heavy sets. Most critically, he gave up key stops, including failing to seal his block on a 4th-and-1 turnover on downs.
