Through just one game in the 2026 season, it is early to draw definitive conclusions on Malaki Starks, who has delivered replacement-level play with an overall grade of 61.5 across 90 snaps. His single outing against Dallas was defined by largely routine deep-safety assignments, compiling 82 neutral plays on the day. Starks showed positive flashes flowing downhill to make open-field stops against Javonte Williams and Dak Prescott. However, his marks were dragged down by surrendering an easy third-down conversion to KaVontae Turpin in off-man coverage and being washed out on the edge on a jet-sweep touchdown. With only Week 3 on his ledger, his trajectory remains to be determined as he gains more playing time.
