It is early in the season for Quentin Lake, who has logged just one game through Week 3 and earned a replacement-level 63.4 overall grade across 79 snaps. His performance was anchored by solid downhill run defense, highlighted by a tackle for no gain. Lake also showed flashes in pass coverage with a deep sideline pass breakup against Courtland Sutton. However, critical penalties severely dragged down his coverage mark to a neutral 60.7. Most damaging were a facemask penalty and a late illegal use of hands infraction that erased an incompletion and gifted the Broncos a fresh set of downs at the goal line.
