Through just one game in the 2026 season, it is still early to evaluate Shavon Revel Jr., who currently holds a replacement-level 60.5 overall grade across 45 snaps. His initial outing was driven by mixed results, pairing a solid 64.5 run defense mark with a net-negative 58.3 coverage grade. Coverage highlights included denying a deep third-down pass to Mark Andrews, but his grade dipped heavily after surrendering outside leverage on an uncontested 31-yard completion to Rashod Bateman. He also conceded an easy first-down conversion to Zay Flowers by playing off-coverage on a short-yardage situation. In the run game, Revel displayed strong burst to blow up a screen and made a touchdown-saving tackle on Derrick Henry, though he later struggled to shed perimeter blocks.
